Need a trained eye to help with a quick search to see if there’s a poison pill buried somewhere on my site! This is an e-commerce site that I’ve worked on and ran for 5 years which ranks from middle to top in just about all of the quality analytic scores when compared to top 10 competitors in Google, yet this site can hardly stay on the 3rd page let alone the 1st.  Only weakness in metrics that I see is that I need more linking root domains and traffic.  Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.  Lowell

Your site has huge rankings, however, when I went to your website, and did a view source, on the home page. Looked at the first few keywords, and did a quick google search, on a few. I did not find the site right away.

For example, "Trade Show Booths" - Now where on the first page.

"trade show displays" same scenario. However, of course, "shop for exhibits", and I would hope your number 1, and your were.

Your home page, Title should incorporate, and say the company name, after the Trade Show Information, that may help the home page indexing.

        Hope this helps friend.

          Hi Lowell.

My main concern is your on-page presentation. The site seems a bit spammy to me. I recognize this site represents a lot of work on your end so I will share specific opportunities for improvement.

I used the following page for analysis: http://www.shopforexhibits.com/displays/display-rentals

The "Tradeshows" sidebar item seems fine. It is located at the top, offers images and I can see it being helpful to users. The "Recent Blogs" sidebar block is lower on the page but may be helpful. The "Trade Show Definitions" and "Exhibit Systems" seem like two extra blocks of links stuffed on the page. The "Getting Started" block might be helpful, but at the bottom of the page it probably is not getting seen nor used. Try checking your Google Analytics to see if anyone is using these last three blocks. If not, I recommend you strongly consider removing them.

Your footer also contains a lot of links, most of which are duplicated elsewhere on the page and are likely not used. Once again, check your GA to confirm these links are not being used and if so, remove them. They are not helping your users nor manage your PR flow to the more important pages of your site. For example "Banner Stands" is offered as a link in the "Tradeshows" block which is fine. But then it is offered in another sidebar block and again in the footer which seems excessive.

Your page text is black but then your internal links in content are silver. Many people might have difficulty reading the text due to the contrast. Also I will point out internal links are great, but it seems way overused on your page. You have 4 extra links in content which link back to the same page which is being displayed. This offers no benefit to users. You are also linking to the same pages repeatedly in your content. The first time anchor text is helpful. It doesn't need to appear every time you repeat the phrase.

Your LinkedIn page url ends in a number instead of your company name. I suggest you use your named URL. For example my company URL is http://www.linkedin.com/company/vitopian. The same idea with your YouTube account.

Add trust badges to your site. Verisign, TRUSTe, BBB, etc would all be helpful.

The above items are a start in the right direction. The goal is to treat each and every page on your site as a world-class web page worthy of a top ranking in Google. Presently I see a lot of quality issues with your site which can be improved.

          Good luck.
