  • It can take a few weeks for Google to process the information that you upload. Your list will be incorporated into our index as we recrawl the web and reprocess the pages that we see. Please check following thread for more details: https://support.google.com/webmasters/thread/10239497?hl=en When we did for our website it took less than 2 weeks.

  • It seems to crawl all the wordpress folders and media files.  Is there not a tool that will tell you just your live website URLs, I'm after creating a site map and a mass re-organising content exercise, so want a list in excel of URLs. Any tips welcome Thanks Sarah

  • Hi, You should try "Disavow" option, you're doing a clean sweep of all the bad links on that domain. When you disavow by URL, you're more likely to miss bad links. Please check following thread for more details: https://support.google.com/webmasters/thread/10239497?hl=en

  • Hi there, To chime in, Moz recommends prioritizing the issues that have been discovered (perhaps, in an SEO Site Audit for example) by determining which have the highest VALUE. In other words,  if your main priority is generating leads, remedying issues that are preventing this may be your best bet, if that makes sense. Hope this helps. Zack

  • Hi there, To quote Moz staff on this, So, Moz's Spam Score is the percentage of sites with similar features we've found to be penalized or banned by Google (it's not based on the spam score of the sites linking to you). To improve this score I would recommend reading our guide which explains the 27 factors used to make up this score. You can then look at your site and investigate areas you would like to improve on your site: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/spam-score Best of luck, and let me know if I can help with anything else! Hope this helps! Zack

  • Yenu, I also find that occasionally, websites with poorer PA and DA rank higher than sites with weaker PA and DA. This certainly backs the point that these are Moz metrics and not Google metrics. That said, Moz professionals (good SEOs in general) would not encourage you to set goals to increase PA and DA, but rather set goals that bring the highest value to the website. In the SEO world, that could equate to more pages in the top 3 (or 5, or 10) position, which is not a Moz metric, but is straight from Google. I hope this helps! Zack

  • Hi there! One recommendation I'd have right off the bat is using the (free) MozBar to take a look at the inbound links pointing to the website. If this website is in "bad link neighborhoods" it would be helpful to get rid of  any backlinks from spammy sources. Have you taken this step? Best, Zack

  • Hi there, 1. You need to run a technical site audit to see if all redirects are redirecting to the no www version  and your canonical l URLs do not include www in the them. Also, you need resubmit your site map to Google Search console. 2. You need to update your robots.txt file with new site site map  URL. 3. You need to add another property without www  to the Google Search Console. 4. You need resubmit your site map to the Google Search console. You need to run a technical audit to see your canonical tags. Ross Ross

  • While they do give weight to the authority of the overall domain itself, keyword use in a URL can also act as a ranking factor. While using a URL that includes keywords can improve your site's search visibility, URLs themselves generally do not have a major impact on a page's ability to rank. For more information checkout Moz article: https://moz.com/learn/seo/url. We followed same for our website as well.

  • Yes, there was the same problem on my website,  almost a year back. But after some time it automatically solved. I think you should not worried about it.

  • This is what they say, explicitly: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/guides/sd-policies. Specifically, see the "Quality Guidelines > Content" section. In terms of actual penalties, ranking influence, or marking pages as spam , I can't say from experience as I've never knowingly used markup inconsistent with the information visible on the page.

  • Hey Dear, I think you should use Grammarly for grammar and sentence checking while writing articles for your website because it will help to make your content Google friendly. I also used the Grammarly pro version while the article Best Coffee Machine 2021 for my website and it showed me positive results. So, I will recommend you to use this while article. Thanks

  • So, currently you are using div to wrap the links to the product pages and you want to replace div with h2, right? Google does like H tags. It will pay more attention to an h2 than a simple div. That's good for SEO. The problem is that in your case the product entries are almost empty. There is not much content under each product name. It's almost like using h2 instead of LI (list item). Google will not like that. So, unless you are planning to write some descriptions under each product name I don't recommend using h2 in this case.

  • A 301 redirect is the header response sent when a page does not exist or not required and the redirected page is loaded instead.  Typically a 301 redirect is created when a page is taken down.  A 301 redirect is not bad for a site.  Redirect chains can be bad - so 301 to 301 to 301 etc. What you want to look at is if you have 301s in your menus, homepage or main content linking to main pages.  These links should be either removed or updated to the new URL.  There should be no 301s here, it's good housekeeping. A backlink is an link from an external site linking to a page on your site.
