Sitemap generator partially finding list of website URLs
Gaston, Interestingly enough by default the generator only located only half of the URLs. I hope that one of those 2 fields will do the trick.

How to safely syndicate blog posts in LinkedIn Company page
If you read Neil Patel's post he says... -- syndication can cause duplicate content issues -- syndication can result in your content on other sites outranking the same content on your site For those reasons, I would not as a habit, republish each of my articles on other websites. If I have great content I will keep it for myself - on my site only. I would use syndication only in those cases when I "have a message to get out" ... and that message is more important than having the article performing well on my own webiste. I am posting this as my opinion and practice. It's not advice. And, there might be situations when I depart from it, such as if I had an article that would produce a bigger bang on another website than on my own, only for the reason that the website that receives the article has a greater reach for that topic or a stronger tribe for that type of information.

Forwarding a .org domain to a .com domain: any negative impact to consider?
Nigel is right, though I did not get if there any website. If yes you need to set redirects, if no - just keep .org for your needs.

Help: Structure data penalty on a pet ecommerce site
Hi István Sorry for the late reply and thank you for answering the enquiry. I have DM you via Skype by the way. Actually, last week we have sent a reconsideration after removing all schema, which makes sense when you think about it, but it got rejected after two days. We actually wanted for the schema to show zero after removing the schema before sending the reconsideration. They were using both Microdata and Json+LD on the same and as you can see below it was commented out. Before removing all schemas, their schema codes have been commented out and I do agree there was hidden code, but it was removed. This is the Schema on the homepage: Example for product page Thank you!

My homepage redirects to itself?
Hey Katherine, If you could share the URL of your home page, I could likely tell you what the issue is but if you don't feel comfortable doing that, here are a few suggestions. 1. Install the "Link Redirect Trace" Chrome extension. An awesome extension that gives you the HTTP headers on every URL in real time. 2. Check for some pretty standard domain redirect issues such as: -http://example.com to http://www.example.com -http://example.com to https://example.com -https://example.com to https://www.example.com The http to https redirect is very common due to old links, the habit of typing http, and the fact that browsers still default to http unless you specify otherwise. For instance, if you type example.com in the nav bar, your browser will assume you mean http://example.com and try that, at which time you'll be redirected to the https version. The .htaccess file (if you're on apache) can be a good place to fix the issue once you know what is happening. It's also worth noting that redirects on your home page are not necessarily a bad thing as long as they're one of the aforementioned examples and they're 301 redirects. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions! -Tyler

URL too long. Shorten and redirect, or leave alone?
Shorten and Redirect (With keeping the URL keyword-focused). If there is an opportunity for those website pages to rank for certain relevant searches, I absolutely think it would be worth it to go back in and spend a few minutes optimizing them as well. You can shorten the URLs, create 301 redirects from the old URL to the new one, and then re-optimize the blog posts as a whole, as well as add some internal links with pages you are wanting to improve rankings on. We have seen good results from doing this on our website and it can be an easy win to bumping up rankings for those pages.

General SSL Questions After Move
No. Just keep an eye on it. If you continue to see impressions and clicks, scan your site again just to make sure all content has been converted and there aren't any lingering files hardcoded with http. You server-side redirect will take care of it. The only possible downside is the unnecessary redirect which slows rendering a bit. Not a show stopper.

Pages being flagged in Search Console as having a "no-index" tag, do not have a meta robots tag??
Hey, Try fetch and render from Google Search Console. There you could check if there is an X-Robots-Tag in the response header. For reference: https://developers.google.com/search/reference/robots_meta_tag

Is there a way to set up 301 auto redirects from 404s
Hi there, Yes, there are several ways you could do that, but my question is, if it is worth it, or not. If we are talking about a large website, you could have issues with Google's crawl budget. Basically, the crawlers would have to go through an additional 301 to land on your homepage. Google describes their best practices about redirecting 404 pages here: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/181708?hl=en If your page is no longer available, and has no clear replacement, it should return a 404 (not found) or 410 (Gone) response code. Either code clearly tells both browsers and search engines that the page doesn’t exist. You can also display a custom 404 page to the user, if appropriate: for example, a page containing a list of your most popular pages, or a link to your homepage. If your page has moved or has a clear replacement, return a 301 (permanent redirect) to redirect the user as appropriate. In my opinion, the decision should be determined by the size of the website. If we are talking about a big website, maybe it would be more beneficial if you follow Google's guidelines, implement a 410 status code. If the website is small, maybe you could redirect the users to the homepage, and hope they are going continue their journey on your website. István

My Website's Home Page is Missing on Google SERP
I've had a similar problem years ago. Check to see if that page has a no-crawl or no-follow designation in your CMS. Hop on the page and hit a control+U, then find "follow". Look for this: name="robots" content="INDEX,FOLLOW" />

Google rejected my reconsideration request of unnatural link manual action, and list one blog article twice as example?
Hi, I was facing the same issue an year ago. Twice Google has rejected my reconsideration request & provided similar 1 link that i disavowed. But don't worry once manually check each individual link, take some time while evaluating & once you find that everything is ok. Just disavow the list.

Protecting sitemaps - Good idea or humbug?
From a hacker's perspective, the first order of business is going to be gathering information on the target. does a hacker or someone with malicious intent gain something in obtaining access to your sitemap? Yes, they do, and that is more information on the layout of your site. How common would there actually be something on the sitemap that could critically expose you to compromise on your VPS/Shared hosting? Um, probably super ultra rare. But yes there was one time that I was doing an audit for a company and the sitemap did point to a directory that was vulnerable to directory browsing. Fishing around in the directory, I was able to obtain a picture of a PayPal MasterCard front and back because some idiot snapped pictures of it and uploaded it onto the site. So there are benefits to hiding it, it's relatively easy to do, but if your lazy and don't want to, chances are your good.
