Help ! My site crawl report tells me I have too much duplicate content
The answere is to add unique content, but in your situation this will be hard to do. i would have a catagory page, for each product group, like mugs, with links to each team mug, then i would canonical tag all the mug pages to the category page, i would also have a team page linking to alll the products. Your problem is thin content, a few pages is ok, but if your site has a lot as you suggest, i would do somthing about it

Link Building
How have you been trying to get it to rank? With link building? Maybe spend some more time on the page itself. SEOmoz just came out with a blog post today about this. http://www.seomoz.org/blog/whats-better-on-page-seo-or-link-building I used a plugin that shows what the spiders see and it appears that a script you are using is being detected as text, which could be a real problem. You have thousands of lines of jibberish, like this: Comercial IncomeCommercial LeaseLandMulti FamilyRentals / AllRentals / DetachedRentals / SeasonalRentals / TownhouseResidential / AllResidential / CityBouseBowieBrendaBuckeyeBullhead CityCamp VerdeCane BedsCarefreeCasa GrandeCave CreekChandlerCherryChino ValleyChristopher CreekCircle CityClarkdaleConchoCongressCoolidgeCordes LakesCornvilleCottonwoodCrown KingDatelandDesert HillsDewey GrViVistaCuernavacaCuernavaca SegundoCul-De-Sac LotCustomCustom CommunityCustom HomeCustom HomesCustom HorseCustom Santa Fe

Would I be safe canonicalizing comments pages on the first page?
I think your follow-up comment is a good bet - either use rel-canonical to a "View All" version or use the rel=prev/next tags. A canonical back to page 1 of comments is technically not endorsed by Google (although, honestly, it would still probably work in most cases). If you don't feel the comments add any SEO value, you could also just META NOINDEX pages 2, 3, etc.

Nofollow on site-wide banner links
Generally agree with the comments - links between two of your own sites shouldn't be a huge problem. Google could devalue them a bit, if they see the connection, but devalued isn't penalized. As Philipp said, if you also put contextual links to the webshop in the blog, it could be that the banners keep those links from counting - Google tends to disregard the 2nd, 3rd, etc. link to Page B from any given Page A. If the contextual links are specific, deep pages, though, you should still get value.

Does anyone know of a Domain auction site that includes MOZ rankings?
I haven't seen one. Typically by the time I'm done filtering through Flippa for what I want, there's only a couple sites that fit the bill, and I do the OSE search manually.

301 Redirect to mobile site effecting rankings
How do I reverse it so that google will use my desktop to rank my site on mobile? Do I simply redirect without the 301?

Canonical to the page itself?
We're re-evaluating the canonical notice, as it's confusing to a lot of people. Our intent wasn't necessarily to say that the tag is wrong, but more of a "heads up" (in case there are potential problems). Unfortunately, there's no good way to automatically detect what page a canonical should point to, so we tend to have to use general warnings.

Google Instant Preview
Hi Brett, As far as i am aware, Google has not rolled out this functionality yet, as the instant preview is just a cached image snapshot from the page itself, it's not an actual HTML feed or iframe. I can imagine the ability to preview vids (especially youtube videos) coming along within the next year or so, but for now you can't watch them without clicking through.

Title tag - shorter = better?
Why would SeoMoz not wish to appear on Page 1 of serps as such a position a) would bring new subscribers and b) demonstrate they are not summed up by the idiom; Those who can,do; those who can't, teach In the past I have met a number of SEO companies who make a play on the 'we're not about our results, we're about your results' Ahem, perhaps you can't match the SEO skills of your competitors? Anyway back to the topic, I am interested in your understanding of how ranking importance is distributed, that each keyword in a title tag is given its share along the lines of; If the title is one word like "SEO" then that word is given 100 points. If the title is "Search Engine Optimization" then each term would be given about 33 points. As many have suggested the earlier the keyword appears in the tag, the more importance it received and therefore the share for this title might be 45,35,20? Lets look at an example of a title tag for a eCommerce site Toshiba 3D LCD TVs | Free Delivery | TH32TT | TH42TT | Tellys.com As free delivery often help conversions (though of course title tags are not often read by humans) there is worthwhile search volume. Also the two most popular model numbers also receive search volume. (please ignore that this may cause competition with product pages and assume that this is a one page site and/or there will be no duplication or internal conflict). In this case just how much negative effect are these extra keywords inficting? Would it be better to strip back to Toshiba 3D LCD TVS ??? Thanks
